Membership

Membership in the Lawrence County Historical and Genealogical Society has many exciting benefits. Foremost is knowledge that, as a member, you are playing an active role in The Lawrence County Museum of History and Edward L. Hutton Research Library and in promoting Lawrence County's heritage, and you are invested in preserving our history for generations to come. Your Lawrence County Museum and Research Library is a non-profit organization; therefore, your active membership and donations of time, expertise and funds are essential to continued operations.

Depending on your level of membership, you will be eligible to receive the following benefits:

Individual ($15), Couple ($20), Family ($25), Student ($5)

  • Invitation to monthly Historical and Genealogical Society meetings -- Includes speaker and business meeting

  • Quarterly Newsletter, The Seedling Patch, can be sent digitally and/or in print form

  • Polo shirts available for purchase

NOTE: For $250, you may purchase a lifetime membership for an individual or a couple.    

Sustaining ($100 - $249)

  • Invitation to monthly Historical and Genealogical Society meetings - Includes speaker and business meeting

  • Quarterly Newsletter, The Seedling Patch, can be sent digitally and/or in print form

  • Polo shirts available for purchase

  • Limestone gift - at member's request

Contributor ($250 - $499)

  • Invitation to monthly Historical and Genealogical Society meetings --includes speaker and business meeting

  • Free Polo Shirt - at member's request

  • Limestone gift - at member's request

  • Engraved 4x8 paving stone with your name with be placed at north entrance to building*

Patron ($500+)

The names of patrons giving $1,000 or above will be added to the plaque in the hallway on the first floor of the museum.*

*Patrons wishing to remain anonymous may either opt out of paving stones and/or plaques or may choose to donate "in honor of" or "in memory of" another.
